Kirk:
Pigeons are a natural host for feather lice. They will be an annual occurence. Any of the permethrin based pet sprays work. Some of our club members get a horse spray called Bronco from TSC. Hot weather seems to be when they are most active. My birds during the race season get a spray under the wings once a month. This seems to control it. :P

Hi Kirk,

I use Miraculous Insecticide Chalk ( Chinese Chalk ) about once per month when I am racing, all I do is make a line or an X with the Chalk on the nest boxes, perches, walls, floors, etc, etc, and if I get a pigeon that is lost for a while or just comes back full of lice, I use Spray from Colombine.
